We are
proud to announce that the fourteenth edition of Montreal 's
Italian Week will be held on the island of Montreal from August
5th to the 12th 2007. Our objective, as always, is to promote
and share our Italian culture and heritage as well as celebrate
the talents and charm of the Italian-Canadian community of
Montreal .
With over 500,000
participants, each year, this event has grown in popularity and
has become one of the major activities that Montrealers look
forward to each summer. The charming cafés of Little Italy, the
concerts, films, exhibits as well as the opera “Cavalleria
Rusticana” and finally the famous fashion show "Moda Sotto le
Stelle" will contribute once again to making this event
successful. Also, this year we are proud to ad a Sicilian
flavour to our program with, namely by presenting the play
Uomo e Galantuomo by
Eduardo de Filippo, and the performance of the Arcadia
Saxophone Quartet, directly from
Sicily , playing with the Nelligan Quartet from
Quebec .
As the event draws
nearer, we would like to solicit your help in the promotion of
the Italian-Canadian community in
North America . As the president of an important Italian
organization in the
United States , your contribution to our mission would be
very much appreciated.
